the bottom line is that it takes nearly forever for people to ever muster the votes for a dupe. Hours or days. Hunting down a gold. Half the time the dupe is suspect anyway. Seriously don't understand this fixation on worthless rep anyway. Just trinkets.

@WaiHaLee I have noticed that very low quality in combination with a comments get handled within a few hours because moderators AND reviewers see them, but moderator flags are just moderator only. Moderator flags are the best used when you rollback a vandalism edit because moderators can still punish the user, while none of the other flag can. That's atleast what I noticed for as long as I am on StackOverflow.

@Ferrybig - I've tended to go for moderator flags in the past e.g. this meta question of mine about plagiarism for plagiarism because it's not just a case of a bad answer, but (in the case of multiple instances of plagiarism), it lets moderators know that the user needs to know what they're doing is wrong, which often just deleting answers does not do.

In the case of my meta question, the user was suspended, which no number of VLQ or NAA flags would cause.
