ugh, spent days trying to figure out why IE11 showed a blank page for our app while other browsers didn't and I couldn't reproduce

turns out the production env is shown on a local URL (http://someserver/) over at the client, and I didn't know that IE decides to just render those URLs in IE7 mode

I'll never get those hours of my life back

@MoshMage true, many things can be achieved with userscripts or found out via SEDE, but we shouldn't expect to have to hack such functionality for ourselves, if the site is still being actively developed based on community input :-)

does the fact that the email goes through the CPanel for a WordPress site give any information about the hosting service? Trying to figure out how to properly migrate this site to a new server without talking to the current host, apparently

they have an email service that runs along side the current website. Not sure if I will need to find another email client for the new site or not. All I know about the current email is that they go through cpanel to access it

You just change the A records

Tell the client to back up everything and expect a 24-48h downtime on emails
