I have a mysql database table with 2000 rows in it and within each row there is a cell called catName which contains the category name. Each category has around 10 rows which match it. I want to construct a query that calls around 10 categories, which would be around 100 rows, what is the most efficient way of doing this?

Should I use myqsl WHERE catName IN (category1, category2, category3, etc) or is it more efficient to just grab all the rows and sort with php? Or is there a better option that I am missing?

it is not similar to age of empires at all. it is for mad people :D it has too many options to be fun, imho. in age of empires you just use raw strategy, learning curve is way easier

Only difference is I'm looping through and appending to an element with ID, not the body
