so I decided to get started with android development but I found out my pc is too slow for android studio or any kind of android work, 2gb ram with core 2 duo, so I've decided to upgrade it to 8gb ram and a better processor, I am kinda confused whether I should go for i3 or i5, I did some research and websites list i3 as entry level and i5 as mainstream

Yes it is heavy but does not give headache like Android

In Android there are tons of support libraries plus gradle will give a very bad headache...

I already hate gradle, I am following google's tutorial for "hello world" program and it just doesn't work, gradle build fails everytime with a new error message

I have to wait 20 minutes just to get a error

first, AS won't work, because its old, then gradle won't work, because that's old, then support repositories won't work, because they are old, then something else will find its way in

@MasterYushi there should be gradle files. One of them is for your project, where you have to import v7 library. When you do so, it will ask to sync project again, and then it will import that class into your project

the libraries are first to be imported from gradle, only then you can use those libraries in your project
