And what I can see is; it is just for quick exchange of those many notes, that was just quick solution. Now because of 2000, we have even more worst situation.

@TheLittleNaruto yea.....they had to put out a big not, so people can get more money with few notes in those days. Production of those notes will reduce in coming days (IMO). This wasn't the decision of government alone btw, if you read today's/yesterday's news, you'll see that Urjit Patel (governer of RBI) told parliamentary committee that bank and government was in regular contact since Jan 2016 over this issue

and after a large discussion, this decision was taken, which will help on three fronts, black money, terror funding, and the one that I forgot ;)

the decision was taken on May 27 last year

and then announced on Nov 8.

So, this wasn't Modi alone, he had a full advisory panel of India's best financial experts (RBI) and from this, I can only deduce, that this was the best way out
