The MTU thingy?

MTU something relate to router

that is out of my mind

RakNet has a packet with the ID 0x05

In 0x05 at the end it pads a certain amount of bytes, normally around 1446

If the server does not respond with anything, decrease the MTU and resend

it related to hardware ?

Repeat this until a response is received or the MTU is smaller than the minimum (538)

Hardware and server

The hardware has to be able to handle it and so does the server

So what I do is I get the smallest MTU from every device (Since I can't figure out the specific one being used) and then send the first 0x05, and keep decreasing until the server responds

So if there are 3 devices with the MTU's 1500, 4196, and 1280

I will use 1280

It's on the MCPE page because Minecraft: Pocket Edition uses RakNet so it was documented anyways. And yes it is the old page but RakNet hasn't changed since then

Java Object Serialization by default - resulting in those extra "random" bytes appearing before the expected data.

The way my server handles it is that it just takes the remaining bytes and in 0x06, the next packet, it sends that back. No problem between the server and client there

@TheNightKing My server software? I for now just use a normal MCPE client because that uses an offical RakNet server

I get the IP of my phone using an App I have on it

Minecraft: Pocket Edition is 7 bucks

If you want to test with it using the RakNet stuff, if you have Minecraft PC you can download Windows 10 edition for free which is a port of MCPE to Windows 10

For USB I have a different tool, it doesn't seem to have an official name

I used it to create a GameCube controller API for java, I think I'm the first one to do that

It uses the adapter Nintendo released for Smash bros

I looked at the dolphin emulator code (written in C++) to figure out it's protocol

The USB was the only hard part actually

Once I got the USB working in Java it was very easy to implement it

It takes only one byte to initialize

And for rumble for example all you have to do is the rumble ID (I forgot what it was) and then there are 4 extra bytes, corresponding with the port

If the second byte is 1 for example, the controller plugged in to the second port will start rumbling

I hate how it doesn't do it by amount though, you have to flip it on and off if you want to do a light rumble effect because of it :(
