@ReedCopsey I'm trying to think of it as, when I save my project, it'll serialize the models. So Workspace has a list of Devices, Hardwares, Folders. And Devices have Parameters. I figured I don't want to serialize a DeviceViewModels and ParameterViewModels, then again maybe i do?
I am the data source. I just need to move a lot of data from a local source to a remote location and there's no programatic way to define what goes where.
The "Display it as a list with an input" is what I don't know, because that is very much wpf.

First of all, you should create a List with some class, rather than string. Then you can use class properties in you DataGrid as columns.
