AWS is a mess if you ask me. IMO their CP is more confusing than helpful

I mean am I supposed to create new image everytime I change something

I'm still considering AWS ec2 for hosting lememe images

on event days we need intense scaling and on other days we don't need anything

the cloud model is perfect for that

I like the cloud storage "pay per kb" motto

godaddy is cheap solution for physical files right now. Fedora VPS is a lot cheaper than the linode equivalent. but for something like lememe images may be downloaded a lot - and I need to move away from imgur (I suppose)

so page/generator/services on godaddy and physical images stored on AWS

I wanna write it all using node.js just never have the ambition to code once I get home from work.

for the rest I use my dedicated server.. and am in the process of colocating my new server

well I just wanna get lemon meme up and running then a blog then i'll be content for a while

just host the images on shared hosting too for a while then

they generally have unmetered bandwidth

you only get shutdown if your processing usage goes about like 0.2 for 5 mins <- why I eventually had to move zg.net lol

well the VPS plan is Value so I have a Storage: 60 GB, Bandwidth: 2,000 GB/mo

so I don't know... that seems like a whole hell of a lot of images to me

but the cloud service might benefit my users because they won't have to wait as long for the image to be served up to them

so do I add a nominal cost to host the images right away, or wait and have my images then split half on my server / half on AWS cloud storage
