Then change it to make it better to work with; put a class on the divs that you need to access in the javascript

Trying to use jquery to fill in the holes of shitty HTML is gonna be an uphill battle

hrmmm... @BenFortune idea -- because of music I often miss pings and because I have a million tabs open I don't see the little notification icon there either.. using an extension and an arduino I should be able to hook up a small led display to give me a nice little flashing light on my desk

but how would I bridge extension -> usb
