it makes more sense to send the data to the server where the jade template is

process it on the server, and respond with the process template

so that your client side code is simply:

  $(myElem).html(html);
})

Your server can already process jade, so that makes a lot more sense

in express:

app.post('path/to/template', function(req, res) {
  // i forgot the code for this, but something like:
  res.render('path/to/jade/file', req.body)
