I was thinking of moving to Ruby On Rails as PHP devs are more and more day by day(Most of them are Cheap developers in terms of Code quality and Salary). So it is difficult for me to get well paid in herd of cheap devs. Should i move to RoR ? Or should I goto nodejs ?

@jQuery.PHP.Magento.com If a job is all you're after, then it depends on what options you have available. If you see more RoR developers on your desired price tier, look into RoR. Same goes for node.

As far as technology goes, the only suggestion is that you try both and see which you like most.

For me, that's no contest: JavaScript, for three big reasons:

lack of decent debugging capabilities (Firebug helps, but it's not enough),
the way it simply halts whenever there's an error, forcing the programmer to add alert("in functionX") just to make sure you made it to functionX, and
its infuriatingly obscure error messages.
