if you do a request for a html file with ajax but the user already cached it, are requests still made to the server ? according to my dev tools i still see a network request with cache turned on.

@Zirak it's not about being full-stack or not, it's about knowing something from the ground up. It makes you comfortable with what you're doing on a level you can't get from having a set of abstract rules given to you.

A good example is derivative. I assume they haven't changed the bagrut since I did it a billion years ago, but you never had to actually know what a derivative is, just a set of rules, such as (x^n)'=n*x^(n-1)

When I was taught what it was I was blown away by how retarded the way it's taught in high-school

but teach it properly and I guess people won't get it, even in 5 units

which is why public schools are shit and if I ever have kids they will bypass all the bullshit and go straight to uni

Anybody have opinions on hosting demos for a plugin on GitHub? I was planning on using jsfiddle, but is there a way to use GitHub pages for demo without having the demo's code in the repo?
