I think the :hidden pseudoselector refers to display : hidden. You want to select by attribute: input[type=hidden] or something like that.

Don't use live, it's deprecated for a while. Google it for a bit for how to migrate, I don't know a lot about jquery's api.

live is deprecated post v1.8. I'm using 1.62. Also the live is working since I've one more live above the current code which works. I'm removing a span from inside the <td> that was clicked and that works

This is the full code:

Ok..just saw the console in Firebug..got this message:

uncaught exception: type property can't be changed
