only cost me 5000 and 2 certifications

@AaditMShah there are several key differences between classical inheritance and JS inheritance you don't mention in your post. The MOST confusing aspect about prototypical inheritance is that it's only behavioral and the read/write prototype asymmetry.

In classical languages, objects hold state and the state is accumulated across the inheritance chain from the top down. In prototypical inheritance, all state belongs on the last object and climbing goes from the bottom up. State on the prototype is not the state on the created object - the two differ.

It's not just about inheriting from objects, in classical oop languages that are less broken classes are just objects too.

@BenjaminGruenbaum Alright, in classical languages if we have a class Foo with some properties and a class Bar which derives from class Foo then an instance of class Bar will inherit some properties from Foo and some from Bar. However in JavaScript all the properties will be collected on the instance (if you write to them). If you only read from them then the will be inherited.

@AaditMShah classical inheritance is not somehow 'inferior' to prototypical one. It's different. You can implement both in both quite easily. Prototypical inheritance is just usually what you mean when you conceptually think of inheritance.
