How would I go about logging an exception within Crashlytics which depends on the integer response of a BLE characteristic? What he's doing is actually a fairly old school way of doing it, back when the http spec was used more completely. He's not wrong. I'd let it slide if it's not causing you any major issues

Refreshing session tokens is entirely up to you guys, though 1 hour seems excessive

Your app shouldn't care if the token expires every minute or every year

It should refresh it if it's told it's expired, no questions asked

Why some apps use SMS verification on their Signup flow, instead of a regular push notification?

no, as soon as the user submits his credentials for signing up, the device id would be sent to the backend and registered on GCM (never used firebase, should be the same I believe?) and the backend sends the verification code to the mobile through the push notifications provider

It has been there forever but I believe I made it this way because we discussed that sms has a higher chance of success to be delivered than FCM

also sometimes FCM is delayed a while for no apparent reason
