we have free+ads, and a subscription to remove ads and stuff

monetization is hard, depending on how many users you have

currently not many but climbing

a good portion of our projects here are ad provider integrations and ad optimizations

luckily I manage to stay away from them for the most part

yeah there's so many ad companies being started and going out of business all the time

ad sdks tend to have the lowest code quality as well

so we do all kinds of hacks to stop them from doing shady shit, or leaking memory

they still account for 90% of our crashes though

CF, our design process here sucks. Plus we have a specific customer base and they want things simple. So I can't do much in the way of fancy as far as UI

But it was designed for a specific device so I haven't bothered making it look good on all devices. This was taken on my Nexus 6 but it's designed for a Tab3/4

most android music players suck for podcasts because there's no precision trying to go to a specific spot

if you have a 3 hour podcast, most apps will only be able to get you within a few minutes of precision

if I want to go back 20 seconds, I have to listen to an extra couple minutes

try my and let me know how much precision you are able to achieve so that i can see if i can improve that

I can get maybe within 30s, but it's not easy and it jumps around

with Long Music Player I can get within .1 second if I really want to

on web you can hit the arrow button to go back, and it's a lot easier to click to a spot, but the app just sucks at it
