and the plaintext connection is pain in the ass, because ISPs do tamper with the data

if the problem persists, someone is fucking with the data you get from DNS server… and then you try to install DNSCrypt

Well, it was mostly that he seemed really sensitive and he took what I said wrong. If it were me, I would have been a little pissed if I thought someone was accusing me of something I didn't do
