it is really fast

if you are familiar with vim shortcuts you do not have to use mouse / trackpad at all

Warren: when you call "remove(fragment)" on a transaction, according to the documentation it should remove it from both the backstack and any views.

But what I'm finding is, if you remove(fragment) it's removing it from the backstack but it's certainly no longer displayed on the page... but when I add a fragment and pop backwards, I can pick the fragment up with findFragmentById()...

Glitch: Android games market seems flooded with crap from a user perspective - but that kind of shows that there is a huge base of people who have no taste in games.

afaik the manager owns even removed fragments, so it would make sense that you can still find it somehow

If I was going to do the Android game thing I'd make good games that are fun to play and splatter my company name all over it so much so that it would be impossible for you to not know who made the game. Then work on getting customer loyalty. :) But then I'm not exactly a Mogul

nods but findFragmentById(viewId) take the View ID... so if it's no longer attached to the view how is it even finding it in the manager.

for example different handling of fragments defined dynamically and within a layout xml...

so I literally hate Fragments

if fragments are added programmatically, and you are using fragments from support library, then you can access all of them

FragmentTranscation only has a remove(Fragment) method (not a remove(viewid) method);

Sarge: The problem I'm having isn't I can't access them... it's that I can access them after they have been .remove()ed :)

It'll mostly work fine, till the lifecycle tries to do stuff that conflicts with yours

Which it'll usually do in moving to and fro from background, or in cleaning RAM, or in some weird navigation patterns

The way I'm calling it is when a Fragment has been added with a transparent background to a view - and then removed from ontop of that view.

Because no "add/remove" happens on a fragment, as part of the "pop" functionality it reaquires the Fragments and is calling "onResume()" because in my head, it kind of should be doing that anyway because it's becoming un obscured

As is the way with Activities layering Activities
