cA Hmm, I'm not sure that's clear either. The two families in fonts are those that have serifs, and those that do not. Helvetica, Verdana, some of the gothics, are sans-serif fonts. Times New Roman, Courier are serif fonts.

I had a similar problem and found out that the issue was the GenyMotion device, which had an older SDK, namely SDK 19. I don't think GenyMotion supports android-L yet.

as the article mentions, it was patented before the Supreme Court ruled you couldn't do such a thing, as a means to prevent some 3rd party company from patenting it themselves and then getting ridiculously rich on people trying to research it.
