Guys, a question

I want to have a CLI that accepts input from STDIN

Also, I want to enforce the presence of a STDIN from pipe in the program, so that if the user forgets to pipe anything in, they get an error.

At the moment, I've something like this

if (System.in.available() == 0) {
  // throw exception
}

This works nicely for most cases, but it seems as though when I do pipe a different process to it, and that process takes too long (about a second?) to generate output, I get the "nothing was piped" error
