If we discuss in the sobotics then it will be hard for me to search again. I can pin the important points here but If I do in that room,others may not find it useful. I tried creating a static text

and on clicking the border , I can create a border but I am not able to make the first paragraph as bold

can you guide me please?

or styled and use jasper report style.

Q: how to put bold for certain word in textfield?

I have for writing essay in the report. I just want to bold some text in my verse. I have put <b></b> tag in text, but it does not work. An example of what I want is "My first name is Jason and my last name is Michael". Anybody know about this?

then I embbed the second static text inside the first one

so to create separate pages, I drag the break pallete on to the band title

In this way I am not getting enough space to design for the pages

For every fixed page, do a subreport (5 subreport), then you included the different pages where you like...

If only 2 fixed you can use title and summery band, but if 5 you better use subreport.

Doing fix pages means that you normally use title and summary, 1 before and 1 after... if you need more use subreport for every subreport you get 2 fix pages... but I would do 1 sub report for every page, then you included the subreport, where you like that fixed page

For my testing purpose I have created 1 main report and 2 subreports

then I went inside main report

dragged the subreport pallete

and then selected the workspace mode(an element inside the workspace)

then clicked finish

But when i preview then I am not able to see the subreport

You need absoulte path to subreport... and then also since you are not passing datasrouce

you will need

whenNoDataType="AllSectionsNoDetail"

hence otherwise it's empty...

click the report node on the subreport and set "AllSectionsNoDetail"

@PetterFriberg Please forgive my foolishness, I really do not know if I can achieve with jasper report. I understand you have said many times that jasper report can do anything. But the more I read different articles, the more I get confused. My pdf looks similar to this type image. As you can see there are headers which says Jaspersoft Studio User Guide. Footer which says TIBCO Software Inc. , there are different pages, images, tables, bullets.
