can you reword the 3rd sentence?

any class can implement an interface. In the Logger example above, the contract only mandates putting a log method on the class implementing the contract. Whether this class is a dedicated Logger or some other class is not specified in the contract. You could add it to your Controller if that's what you wanted.

@FlorianMargaine take subject/observer as a better example. you just need to implement notify and observe. there is no rule that says classes that want to be a subject or observer need this or that constructor. its only when you want to say I want all my classes to require this concrete dependency that you need a ctor, but then you are already implementing a type, hence if you want ctors in interfaces, use an abstract class instead.
