@ResearchDevelopment it is still hard to suggest because I do not know your requirements.

I might be suggesting that makes things worst.

If you want to start the service for the first time during onboot use the broadcast receiver about booting, if you want to trigger the service in the activity for a single time, u can use sharedpreference to flag a boolean value (note: during on boot make sure to reset this value).

.write() can only accept 8 bytes

therefore if a string is more than 8 bytes you need to write it by chunk

But there is a an easy way to write string without having to manipulate the byte
