Normal engines need the valves to be able to open and close... If you go too fast you outrun the spring that would close it and you "float" a valve I.e. outrun its closing mechanism

Ducati pulls despmorphic where there is a cam love for opening the valve AND a cam love for closing it. No springs it gets pushed or pulled both ways.. Still only good for so fast.. I think F1 uses pnuematic valves

Is achieving something like this even feasible? I've looked at a similar solution and trying to apply the same idea but I don't think it's quite the same since the background image size is set to cover. Does anybody have any insight / ideas on how I can achieve this?

I'm almost starting to think that I need to go with a static width / height ( versus bgr-size cover ) so that I only have to deal with it when it hits a small enough screen but the Cover look is so cool I'm trying to make it work

How exactly does the power switch on a PSU work? I was under the impression that if it was off, the PSU would output no power. Yet my computer started the reboot sequence while the switch was off (my case fans turned on, including the LEDs).

I disabled that feature in the bios and it still shut down randomly

and it would usually shut down about 1-10 seconds after the initial power-on (judging again by the fans)
