are you looking up a normal visitor to your website? I don't think you'll find much whois information. It's going to be a residential or business IP if anything

spammers can mess with IPs by using proxies and other methods. Plus, even if you do get their true IP, you might only get a general area about where it is. What do you plan to gain from this, besides spying on your users?
