Is there a way to hide what I'm typing into a console with i.e. readline? I'm trying to obfuscate when I'm entering a password.

@RomanLuštrik If you're working in RStudio there's askForPassword. It makes a popup window open to enter a hidden password rdrr.io/cran/rstudioapi/man/askForPassword.html

That's what I used in the end.
