@Cath yes, reading the answer I thought it was written in 2010 or earlier but t's not the case.. :/

@RonakShah he is one of the authors... yes link only answer, but syntax same as base, so I guess it is an ok answer.

I so wish SO implements a feature which anonymises the answers, so when you post an answer it would not show who is the author of that answer. There is lot of voting bias just because of name.

I think there was a feature request somewhere on meta: hide usernames for X amount of minutes for new questions.

Is there a more concise way to do this on a data.table? na.locf(na.locf(d1$v1, na.rm = FALSE), fromLast = TRUE)

@snoram Just a recent example. I was asked by a person to delete an answer posted here because it is a dupe and I deleted it. Just a few minutes, later the same person answered a dupe here. I posted it as possible dupe, but nothing got tagged. This is called hypocrisy — akrun 1 min ago
