what are static members and non-public members of the exception?

I have an application requirement that requires me to listen on two different TCP Ports. I will be creating two little servers. The main program loop will need to know if server1 or server2 errors out. In the past I would have created a thread for each server and monitor the thread from main. Can I and should I use a Task instead?

@BillGreer yep that should work for you. Tasks returned from framework methods may run on a thread pool thread, but don't have to. In a networking method it will probably spend most of its time on the network card and not buying a thread at all. But yeah tasks should be reliable and performant in that situation
