Q: How do I deploy a program to Solana - Solana/Rust

jhammI am attempting to run the HelloWorld solana program. I have cloned this repo. I have started the project with solana-test-validator I ran npm install and then was able to build the rust project with npm run build:program-rust I can see the .so file in the directory /dist/program/helloworld.so....

It is a perfectly valid question IMO, even on SO, the problem is: it's not Rust related as far as I can tell, i.e. the tag should be removed / swapped.

I have no idea what Solana is (I assume it is a service provider?) not sure if it has a tag or not, but that should be the attached one.

But it seems to me that it is not related to JS either. It is specific to Solana. I assume they use npm because the CLI for Solana is implemented in JS / TS.
(I'm just guessing here, have no idea what I'm talking about..)
