because this is a parallel to read write POSIX functions. Although you can still fwrite binary and you won't have to format anything write ?

p.s. data buffering is a good thing? could you achive more or less if you decide to use read / write instead of fread fwrite ?

according to my uni's platform (a, b) != (a,b)

they are prob matching the string
