Great.
I agree with the idea of having the current build for Visual Studio be supported. Because HF is using that. And it may well be the friendliest way to build on Windows and a lot of Windows programmers use it too so when they finally do come in to join, this will be something familiar.
So developing like in this branch is perfect for now and for the clean overview it brings. When it is good enough to replace current process it can be decided what is the best way to go about.

Looking into build system I feel like the easier way is to rewrite it from ground zero...
