It is odd that Carl does things like that, make some announcements, promise some things, leave for a few years... it is almost as if he believes that he will live forever or something.

@JacobGood1 it's recurrent behaviour. That's why we don't pay much attention to it.

He's also promised to open source Altme I think. I'm not sure which decade that was.

Yes it is a pity this has to come with 'throw over the fence and be done with it' versus taking care of your baby and make sure it is tended well, hanging around and say "I do not do anything but give hints and if keyholders run off I'll give someone else the key again"

By the way I started a rencview project. Just a first wikipage in fact github.com/r3n/rencview/wiki I need some help getting by with how to create a module and how to add sources from OpenGL to it and then how to build on various platforms. Even stating as exact as possible what is to be done next is helpful. Everybody that is interested and can help even just a tiny bit, please step up.
