The biggest handicap, in terms of that which makes it difficult, is having to consider the Rebmu language design while working on the puzzles... so it takes longer as I revisit those decisions but then have to go back and retrofit the already-written examples.
Though the churn is slowing down, and I did solve the last one I did with minimal modifications.
I'd like to be able to convert to-and-from stock Rebol, but I don't want to use that in the challenges because to me it undermines the point.
I would have thought Rebol would have been competitive in the challenges on its own, but it's rather verbose in its naming. The languages which use (abuse?) symbols a bit more have an edge unless something is done to bring "number of characters" more in line with "number of tokens".
Once Rebmu-ified, it's highly competitive.
