I found this was such a great website to learn JavaScript and refer back to (javascript.info). Does anyone have any recommendations for a website or book for HTML&CSS?

@Arley I actually marked it as a duplicate of two questions, not one. I closed it as a duplicate because the duplicate target is a far better canonical explanation of the underlying issue.
reputation and post age are not important; what's important is what the underlying question and reason/answer are
regarding pseudo elements vs elements; there's no difference( as you should know since you explained this in your own answer on the question above) since pseudo elements are children (in this sense) of their originating elements.
