the issue i'm having is i want to have 3 image in one row using position:fixed the images are lined up properly however the links where the images are being target they don't go at right location if you were to point at any of the images from 1-3 it has 1 link only except for 3

in the original fiddle you are able to see there are all of the links working fine however its hard to use the cursor on them

ever had an issue with border: 1px solid transparent; flashing a border when the page loads? Gonna see if I can reproduce it in a jsfiddle

@ZachSaucier the links doesn't work if you were to hover on any of the images it has one link only except for 3 they all are pointing to stackover flow except for google or other link

think I found that issue, I have transition on border and it seems to transition from the default browser border color to transparent

anyway, you really need to go learn the basics of CSS badly, but to fix your current issue change a { display: block; } to a { display: inline-block; }

I can't seem to reproduce the transition bug on page load but if you inspect the square (which is white) in your browser and turn the border off and on you will see what I mean: jsfiddle.net/qrLzry0p

but you should see the border appear (or somewhat appear) and then slowly fade out?

if you change transition: border-color 5s; to transition: border 5s; it makes it so it doesn't appear when you toggle

so it appears some ancient js that was being used for the navigation (different part of the website) was somehow "fixing" the flash

ok so they were linking to the js file in the middle of the page which probably messed up the parser while it had to download the js file which is probably why it reacted differently

Yes, there was no answer from the Googles. I had to experiment until I found out that Firefox treats <button> links differently.

Not realizing that my issue was there, I thought it was in my javascript, since I'm pretty new to it.

Well... new to writing my own from scratch versus copying and pasting.

Wait, how is that scroll jacking? I thought scroll jacking was taking control specifically of where the user scrolls to?

at least in my definition, I doubt there is a truly formal definition

I actually spent some time after the show trying to find a clear definition to the terms, and couldn't find any articles on it that clearly defined it as I had heard... (the reason I searched was because I couldn't remember which episode it was).

The page scrolling works alright on mobile, but I definitely don't have the page set up presently to work out on any device other than a regular desktop view. I guess I don't always go mobile-first. =P

At least it works on iPhone 5s and Galaxy S4.
