another one, my enermax power supply units always die. now i have a 40$ power supply that survives since 4 years ago. any enermax 200$ die after 1-3 month

now i always buy passive-heatsink vgas btw, because they are stronger. i mean the same chip on a passive vga is probably better made compared to the same one on an active vga

I mean I've studied electronics / computer engineering but I can't seem to see how you'd make a chip drastically better to make 'em less thermally inefficient.

There's the other thing. A motherboard can be faulty as well.

and usually active ones use a heatsink just to fit over the chip + fan

passive ones have huge heatsinks
