@ZoetheSparkly If performance is an issue, you should profile now. I'm not convinced that appending within the loop can't be avoided. If that is really the case, avoid appending to a data.frame like the plague. Work with individual vectors instead.

Hi @Roland. I profiled and found no bottlenecks in my functions. What I did to improve the performance was apply multicore loops, it reduced the runtime to about 20% the original runtime on my system.

Oh and I can't work with individual vectors because what I'm doing needs to be handled with dataframes
At least not without redesigning the function. I will give it a try though.
