Regarding the cumulative variance it seems not to be correct or help. As far as I know the CLT should lead to a lower variance with growing number of samples in my MCS. If I use the solution from the thread it seems to behave like the mean, stays a "mean" of the variance.

I used cumvar from the {cumstats}-Package
