Everyone now prefers/tends to link to https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest instead of a specific version of the docs unless there's a very specific context requiring/warranting linking to a specific version. Craig shared that doc links (paths and anchors) are fairly stable.

With the exception of Tsyvarev, people seem to agree that updating links in older answers is ok, but just not worth a systematic effort.
