I had to re-title this, edit to fix all kinds of discussion-forum nonsense and dupe-hammer it, and then live with the fact that the answers are completely discussion-forum style as well

For that matter, I'm certain there's a more popular version of stackoverflow.com/questions/38273353 (which is of course a separate question)
stackoverflow.com/questions/40849151 I keep finding things where the question shows how to do it, and then tries to ask how to do something more complex, and gums it up in some bizarre manner.
