speaking of Apple: I have an iPad left over from my mother - it seems to be registered on Apple ID tied to @icloud.com email. Obviously, I don't know the password, so... to restore it, a verification email is sent. However, to log in to the tied icloud email, one needs the Apple ID password in the first place! Great!

@OlegValteriswithUkraine My Facebook account got blocked recently. I don't really use Fb, at most I'd chat using Fb Messenger. Like, 2-4 times a year. But Fb apparently detected suspicious activity with my account and blocked the account for my protection. I can recover it if I send a verification email...to one of two email boxes that don't even exist any more.

There are three emails associated with that Fb account. I can log in using the third one but I cannot send a verification email to it.

So now the account is very secure as I have the login and the password for it but no way to reactivate it.

To be honest, I've been thinking of just removing that account for a while. I've not really used Fb for maybe 8 years now. I got Fb messenger because, apparently, some of the people I communicate with only use that. Others only use Viber. Others only use whatever. If only I could use my phone to contact them without needing several different apps. Like, if there was an ability to send short text messages somehow.
