Let me know if you are interested in becoming room owner

There is currently a limitation for new users. Users with low rep less than 20 can't talk in chat. stackoverflow.com/help/privileges/chat

So if someone with <20 needs to use the chat, room owners can give them explicit write access.

@blackgreen I believe you should mention the room to the top contributors (stackoverflow.com/tags/go/topusers)

many of the top contribs aren't really active any more

and... I'm not sure how to ping them

The top ones are most definitively active, and might be interested in keeping an eye here

uhm, really? if they never accessed the room, I don't think they can be notified. You were notified when I created our room because I used the "invite user..." function
