If it was a bad question, I would not suggest closing as duplicate.

Well wait a minute, 'bad' and 'good' are not relevant when closing as a duplicate
except in terms of "it's so bad it's not even worth being kept as a duplicate"
a question being good doesn't preclude it from having already been asked and answered
