@chade_ If you know how to develop in one it is very similar to developing in the other as in it's the same syntax. Structure is different but try going from VB.NET to C# when the syntax is different (or even Java when both syntax and structure is new) and I bet the first few lines you miss off a semicolon.

@Bugs Well, My way is quite similar. My first programs were in Small Basic (VB for Beginners, I guess), then I wrote a project in VB.NET. After that we had Java in school and C# at work.

But yeah the change from VB.NET to Java was harder than from Java to C#. I still wrote some Java code in the last few years, e.g. to test Regexes or for Android Apps, and I would say it's harder to switch between Python and C# (Semicolons and brakets vs nothing and tabs)
