I've been experimenting with combining Rust, as a static library, compiled alongside my app written in C++, with Qt. I credit the tooling for Rust, as it's easy to install new toolchains. In my project, from Qt Creator, I launch CMake, and it builds my rust library as a dependency, or when it doesn't, I just run a shell script to build the libraries.
