I have a struck that I am reading some file info into and the first two variables in my struck are a 3 byte array and an 8 byte array. The next variable is a short, but it always seems to read in the 13th byte in the file instead of the 12th. The struct has the packed attribute but not sure it's working

I see no reason for that code not to work. Check the generated structure layout.

type 0 - 2 are for the jmp array, 3 - 10 for the oem array and 11 - 12 for the sector_size short
