I'm thinking of making a bot to welcome people to the room because I'm kinda tired of doing it myself. I feel so ... robotic. To drop on the annoyance, the bot would not say anything to people who have spoken here before. It would also keep a list of people that it has welcomed before but who have not spoken here yet. That might mean that it just says something different like "welcome back", or it just might not say anything. I'm open to ideas, or just killing the bot if you don't like it.

What do you mean?

You have your own chatexchange folder that has the original chatexchange library within it. That means that you might import chatexchange.chatexchange.events, for example. Am I missing something?

@zondo You know what would be a nice function is if say you want a user gone (not you @Dsafds, I'm just thinking outloud) if you could make the bot a RO, and set it where if another RO tells the bot to kick a user for a given amount of time (like 1 hour instead of a minute), then if the user keeps coming back to the room within the 1 hour period (or whatever time it was set to), the bot will continue to kick the user

What I have is a module that can be imported with a Room class that has a connect method. That method is given a signal and a callback. The signal is one of message_posted, message_deleted, etc. If the callback returns True, no other callbacks will be called. The order in which the callbacks are called is pretty much random unless you supply the third argument: the priority. The callbacks with higher priority are called first.
