I have a simple problem with Q promises. I have a method which reads from cache if exists, if not it is querying database. Method is supposed to return promise.
getTree: function () {
var deferred = q.defer();
if (this.tree) {
return deferred.resolve(this.tree);
}
var promise = buildTree.bind(this)();
promise.then((data) => {
deferred.resolve(data)
}, () => { deferred.reject(); });
return deferred.promise;
}

As you can see, if this.tree is defined promise is resolved - but the method did not return deferred.promise yet, so if I call this method like this 'getTree().then()' -> i get error C…
