The isolated imperative model has a lot of advantages when it comes to maintainable business logic.

It's funny to see the progression though ... I used to be like "Callbacks all of the things!" ... I used them like a badge of honor. As if real coders could untangle the mess of callbacks in their code and promises or coroutines were just a way to slow down execution speed for people who couldn't juggle all the balls at once.

Looking for some input of PHP processing. I'm creating a cron job and I need to run two methods:

If you want to know wheter some variable is set, use if(isset($var))

if you want to be sure it's not 0, use the type comparison operator ===

if ($var === 0) makes sure the variable exists and is of type int and has value 0

so

would not work

because that checks $var to be a string with value "0"
