not trying to be a smartass here, but you'd be surprised how completely different actual screamo is

Ya, I realize it's different and that's why I enjoy it more

The culture in Metalcore/Hardcore may seem to be aggressive from the outside

people go crazy at gigs

but aside from actual Hardcore gangs, that are getting less and less, it's a pretty nice and very, very supportive sub-culture actually
